The question is: What treasure is worth the investment of ones heart, your life, and unfortunately your money?

One of my favorite parables Jesus told is usually two parallel stories. Both advisors talk about something associated with value. He said, "God's kingdom is like a treasure hidden within a field for years and accidentally found by a trespasser. The finder is actually ecstatic-what a find! -and proceeds to sell everything he owns to boost money and buy that field. Or, God's kingdom is much like a jewel merchant on the hunt for excellent pearls. Finding one that is flawless, he immediately sells everything and acquires it" (Matthew 13: 44-46).

In the first story, a man was going for walks along and found a treasure that had been hidden in a discipline. In that part with the world, armies marched and fought since way back when. When an army neared, people often buried their prized possessions in the ground to keep these safe. For some purpose, this treasure had not necessarily been recovered. The man realized that this value of the treasure was so immense that he sold everything he must buy the land.

The other story is about a merchant whose job together with passion was finding award pearls. One day, he found one so magnificent that he responded like the wanderer: He sold all he previously to buy the pearl .

With both stories, the value of that treasure prompted action that would be considered extreme if the treasure and pearl weren't so valuable. I believe the treasure along with the pearl in these tales are Christ himself, who is so valuable that nothing compares to him. It's precisely now that many of us become confused or just say "yeah right". We may realize that Christ's love, forgiveness, and acceptance will be the most wonderful treasures in the world, but fear, anxiety, together with selfishness focus our ailments on us, not him or her. We live in tension, with emotions and values in conflict amongst each other. One of the purposes from this article is to clear away some of the confusion, to surface this long hidden perceptions which cloud our hearts, and clarify the choice to treasure what matters most every day. As long as we are human, we won't have it perfect, but with better insights, at least we might see the choices to reside in for selfish goals or for a higher purpose.

Just how do we know what we really treasure?

All we need to do is examine some of our thoughts, our dreams, our checkbooks, and we'll will see our treasure. When I have a few minutes to think and daydream regarding the future, what do My partner and i imagine? Too often, I think about looking good within someone's eyes-or more correctly, looking better than that guy within someone's eyes. And I have learned to measure my value with the performance of my account or the quarterly income of my business. If my treasure is the approval of others, I'll always be a puppet dancing for a string, being pulled by a word of affirmation or maybe a frown on someone's face.

There's an easy method to live.
